In demonstration of how we're still posting stuff that we come up with as we do so while still working towards a feel for the film... here are some drawrings. And it's okay.

This blog is dedicated to the production design and concept work of a yet-to-be-titled BYU student film. It will rock like 80's hair bands thought they did.

Oh so charming jake... I really like your colors, and I like the "droopiness"...converys sadness well.
yay for posts!
A-plus on the droopiness. The makeup is maybe a little overdone. We don't want her to look like a woman of the night. Or do we?
ok, I seriously think this should be used for the final design of the mother, however, in the top drawing, her lack of chin and chubbiness almost makes her look.....pompous and not sad...I know the story though so I see her as sad, but if she had a little line that defined her jaw just a tiny bit I think it would be perfect...
Actually!!!! I just looked at it again and I am wildly mistaken!!! her design is perfect.
I think the makeup is what makes her look pompous...she isn't though, underneath the makeup she is perfect!
Yeah, I always overdo the make-up. Y'all should have seen me getting ready for my first date! WHEW! Talk about woman-of-the-night!
hot. that mom is MILA (mother i'd like to animate) i would only suggest that we work out the clothing a little more on her because where it is gathering at her belt - it seems her fem. anatomy is a little out of place. not that i was looking or anything.
